22 Jun 2026

Lynge, Denmark, June 22, 2026 — After four years as CFO and a member of WSA’s Executive Committee, Marianne Wiinholt will step down on August 31, 2026, at her own request, to pursue a portfolio of board and advisory roles.
Marianne will remain in her position until August 31 to assist the company in finding a successor and to ensure a smooth transition.
Marianne Wiinholt said
My time at WSA has been a rewarding period of my career. This is not least because of the dedicated people I have been fortunate to work with. It has not been an easy decision to leave such an important job at such a fantastic company. Now is the ideal time for me to start a new chapter that allows for more time for board and advisory roles. I am proud of the results we have achieved and the team we have built over the past four years.
Since joining WSA in 2022, Marianne has played a key role in defining the Group’s financial strategy and the company’s overall direction.
Under her leadership, the finance and legal organizations were fundamentally restructured and realigned, ensuring a strong foundation for the company’s continued success.
WSA chair Lars Rasmussen said
The board regrets that Marianne has decided to step down as CFO at the end of August. However, we respect her decision. She has driven strong results and created value for WSA, and I am grateful for the solid foundation and team she established. Now, it’s time to find a successor for this important role.
WSA CEO Jan Makela said

She has been a trusted partner to me, the entire leadership team, and everyone who has had the privilege of working with her. We will miss her experience, sharp observations, and personality. We wish her all the best in the future.
WSA is in the process of finding a new CFO, and will provide more information in due time.
