WS Audiology Group CFO resigns to fully focus on recovery from health issue

13 Oct 2021

Press release
Lynge/Singapore – October 13, 2021: WS Audiology announced today that its Group CFO Søren Westh Lonning will step down on November 8, 2021, to fully focus on recovering from back pain issues. Michael Tyroller will assume the position as interim Group CFO from the same date after previously having acted as interim Group CFO of WS Audiology from June 1 until October 31, 2020.

WS Audiology CEO Eric Bernard commented: “This has been a very challenging situation for Søren. We have tried everything to make it possible to combine the CFO role with the recovery process, but this was unfortunately not possible. I want to thank Søren for being a great friend and colleague and for showing so much resilience. Thanks to him, we have taken WSA Finance to the next level. I wish him a speedy recovery and all the best going forward. I also want to welcome back Michael Tyroller, who knows WSA very well, and thank him for stepping in at such short notice.”

Søren Westh Lonning added: “To recover from back pain, I must focus solely on getting better for a longer period. It is tough to leave WS Audiology, but unfortunately my work as CFO and the recovery process do not go together. I will certainly miss the close collaboration with Eric and the team. We have built a strong finance function, which I leave in good hands with the team and with Michael Tyroller. I wish all my WSA colleagues lots of success.”

WS Audiology has today started the search for a successor to Søren Westh Lonning.
