Lars Rasmussen to succeed Marco Gadola as WSA Board Chair

Lynge, Denmark, February 23, 2024 – WS Audiology (WSA) today announced Lars Rasmussen has been appointed Chair of the WSA Board of Directors, succeeding Marco Gadola, effective March 1, 2024.

Vice Chair Jan Tøpholm commented:

Today we are celebrating our 5th anniversary. Together we have built a fantastic company with a clear purpose: to provide wonderful sound for all. Thanks to our customers, our partners and our 12,500 WSA colleagues, we have grown sales from €1.7 billion in 2019 to €2.5 billion in 2023. We will continue to increase awareness, expand access, tackle affordability, and fight stigma to make hearing care a reality for all.

Lars Rasmussen is a seasoned leader in life sciences. He served as Coloplast’s President & CEO from 2008 – 2018 and was a member of Coloplast’s executive management from 2001 – 2018. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Coloplast A/S, Lundbeck A/S and the Danish Committee for Good Corporate Governance. He is also Board member at Copenhagen University and Chair of the Danish Governmental Life Science Advisory Board.

Marco Gadola became Chairman of WSA on January 1, 2020, and has successfully led WSA through the post-merger process after the merger of Widex and Sivantos in 2019. He is currently Chairman of the Boards of DKSH Holding and Medartis as well as Vice Chairman of MCH Group. He is also a Board member of Straumann, Bühler Group and AVAG as well as Operating Partner of Endeavour Vision Ltd.
