WS Audiology celebrates 5 years of bringing Wonderful Sound for All

Lynge, Denmark – March 1, 2024 – On this day in 2019, WSA was created through the merger of Sivantos and Widex.  

Although 5 years is a young age, WSA is building on more than 140 years of combined experience to help people with hearing loss hear the sounds that make life wonderful.

WSA CEO Eric Bernard, comments:

Today we are celebrating our 5th anniversary. Together we have built a fantastic company with a clear purpose: to provide wonderful sound for all. Thanks to our customers, our partners and our 12,500 WSA colleagues, we have grown sales from €1.7 billion in 2019 to €2.5 billion in 2023. We will continue to increase awareness, expand access, tackle affordability, and fight stigma to make hearing care a reality for all.

Too many people live with untreated hearing loss

More than 1.6 billion people worldwide suffer from hearing loss. However, less than 20% of those in need of treatment* are fitted with hearing aids. WSA was founded to help millions of people regain and enjoy the miracle of hearing by addressing the main barriers that prevent people from using hearing aids such as increasing awareness, expanding access to hearing care, tackling affordability and fighting the stigma associated with hearing loss.
