WS Audiology announces changes to its Board of Directors

Lynge, Denmark, May 2, 2024 – WS Audiology (WSA) today announces a generational change in the Board of Directors, a new Board member on behalf of the Lundbeck Foundation and the resignation of two Board members.
Jan Tøpholm, 2nd generation owner of WSA, will step down as Vice Chair of the WSA Board and pass the baton to Adam Westermann, 3rd generation owner of WSA and Board member since 2021.
Jan Tøpholm has been the Vice Chair of WSA since the merger in 2019. He was the CEO of Widex from 1985 to 2013 and Chair of Widex from 2013 to 2019.
WSA Chair Lars Rasmussen said:
Jan Tøpholm has decided to step down as Vice Chair of WSA after a long and admirable career. As an engineer, CEO and later Chairman of Widex, he has for more than 50 years been at the forefront of pioneering innovation to help people with hearing loss. It is fantastic to see the next generation of the Tøpholm and Westermann families taking over with Adam as the new Vice Chair. I would like to thank Jan for his many achievements and great contributions. I look forward to continuing to work with Adam Westermann on the Board.
In addition, Arne Due-Hansen will become a member of the Board on behalf of the Lundbeck Foundation, which has recently joined T&W Medical’s majority ownership of WSA.
Egbert van Acht and Malou Aamund will step down from the Board.
