Signia receives iF Design Award for custom, rechargeable hearing aids with contactless charging

12 Apr 2022

Press release
Copenhagen, Erlangen, Singapore – April 12, 2022 – Signia, a WS Audiology brand, has been awarded the prestigious iF Design award for its Insio Charge & Go AX hearing aids. This is the third time that the iconic hearing aid brand Signia receives this prestigious award; in March 2019, Signia Styletto was awarded, in April 2021 Signia Active Pro hearing aids.

The Insio Charge&Go AX hearing aids are the first custom, rechargeable hearing aids with contactless charging, Bluetooth connectivity, and direct streaming from iOS and Android devices in a comfortable, attractive, and discreet form.

These custom hearing aids, in the form of earbuds, provide state-of-the-art audiology that is fully personalized to fit the wearer’s ear to ensure an excellent sound experience that is also comfortable to wear for prolonged use, making them easy and pleasing to experience.

Contactless charging means a seamless design where the devices are simply dropped into the charger without exact placement, making it easy for anyone to use.

In October 2021, Insio Charge & Go AX hearing aids, were named CES 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree. AX stands for Augmented Xperience, a unique platform that is rooted in a world’s first Augmented Focus™ technology that processes speech and background noise separately to create a clear contrast between the two. It then recombines them to deliver outstanding speech clarity even in a fully immersive soundscape – like a crowded cafe or an open office environment.

WSA CMO Maarten Barmentlo commented: “The Signia hearing aid brand stands out for its high-tech and elegantly looking design. This helps to overcome the stigma and attract younger audiences.”
